First: I Apologize!

On behalf of all rational, reasonable Americans, I hereby apologize to the World for the outcome of our 2004 election. I apologize for the Modern Crusade being waged in the Middle East. I apologize for our youth not voting their minds. I apologize for the growing evangelical movement in the U.S. that threatens to lead the country through divine right over reason. I apologize for the corporate special interests who are even now being given tax breaks as they are being investigated by our own judicial branch for improprieties and war profiteering.

But, most of all, I apologize for the majority of American voters being swayed by fear like pathetic lemmings.

Second: I'm Busy!

I also apologize for being so busy that I've not posted anything in over a month. Of course, being busy is a high-class problem. This year I've spent most of my professional time at Fluid, Inc. doing application interface design, as opposed to the Web-centric design I've done for the past four or five years. I've produced interfaces delivered by Flash, HTML, Visual C#, and Java/Swing.

I'll post more work samples here as the work is announced or released.

Third: Photography Rocks!

2004 also heralded my headlong plunge into digital photography. At year's end, I've taken well over 3,500 photos...which takes up a whopping 8.61 gigabytes of hard drive space. If a picture tells 1,000 words, that's over three million words... ;-)

I've also traveled more this year than in any other. This year my Canon Digital Rebel and my hiking boots have been to Pinnacles National Monument, Joshua Tree National Park, England's Lakes District, the Highlands of Scotland, Philadelphia, Seattle, and New York City.

Early 2005 will also see a lot of new photography added to this site. Stay tuned.

Fourth: Music Rolls!

2004 also saw something of a resurgence of my musical project, Railgun, with a site relaunch and a few remixes and label interest. I completely retooled my music studio, going virtual with a lot of software effects and instruments...and, with my generally amazing genius friend Gunnar Proppe, I'm also working on a big ol' audio-visual skunkworks project. Codenamed ZPM, perhaps an article in 2005 will divulge the details...
