Character Design for Personal Game Projects

Character design for computer game and video

sample project image

The characters you see here are all Japanese-influenced characters I created for three discrete projects: "Kissyfish", "Li'l Chubbers," and "Oni-Neko Blixa."

Kissyfish combines Pokemon-like design with simple game play and environmentalist themes. You can play this game online.

"Li'l Chubbers" was a game in which you manipulated a fat baby under falling food items to score points: peas, carrots, pork chops, you name it. This game is no longer online, but the main character is in the upper left corner of the image to the left.

Oni-Neko Blixa is an animated short I seem to always be working on...you know how it goes. It's based on my freaky food-obsessed, child-hating black cat, named (of course) Blixa, who's named for Blixa Bargeld from the industrial band Einsturzende Neubauten.
